BRSV activists stage protests at RGUKT-Basar
The activists staged a sit-in in front of the main gate of the university seeking action against those who forced the student to end her life.
Nirmal: Activists of Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (BRSV) staged a protest demanding action against those who were responsible for suicide of a girl student at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT) in Basar on Tuesday.
The activists staged a sit-in in front of the main gate of the university seeking action against those who forced the student, Swathi Priya (17) to end her life. They raised slogans against the management of the institution for neglecting the suicides. They demanded the government to probe into the suicides and take action against the responsible persons.
The activists were arrested and shifted to Basar police station. They were released in the evening. They said that the management of the varsity was not concerned for the deaths of the students. They alleged that the vice-chancellor and director were not showing interest to address major challenges of the students.
