Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi Vidyarthi (BRSV) activists staged a protest at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday against the NEET-UG exam paper leak and its subsequent cancellation. They demanded stringent action against the officials responsible. The police detained several activists and shifted them to police stations.

Speaking on the occasion, BRSV State president Gellu Srinivas Yadav dubbed the leak as a complete failure of both the Central Government and the National Testing Agency. He said the incident left the futures of nearly 23 lakh students across the country in uncertainty.

Pointing to similar incidents in 2021 and 2024, he accused the BJP government of failing to prevent recurring paper leaks. He questioned why the Centre did not act on the recommendations of the K Radhakrishnan Committee, which had reportedly suggested shifting NEET to an online format following the 2024 controversy.

The BRSV demanded the resignation of NTA Director General Abhishek Singh and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, holding both morally accountable for the leak. The BRS student wing also called on the Centre to identify and punish those responsible, announce fresh examination dates without delay, and ensure the test is conducted without disrupting the academic calendar.
