BTech student dies by suicide in Ibrahimpatnam hostel
A 20-year-old BTech student from Khammam district was found dead by suicide in her hostel room at Ibrahimpatnam, Ranga Reddy district. Police have begun an investigation, but the cause is yet to be determined.
Hyderabad: A 20-year-old engineering student died by suicide in a private hostel at Ibrahimpatnam on Friday.
The victim, identified as Manasa, a native of Ballepalli in Khammam district, was pursuing her B. Tech third year at Guru Nanak Engineering College in Ibrahimpatnam and was staying in a private women’s hostel near the campus.
She was found hanging in her room from the ceiling fan by the hostel staff, who further alerted the police.
On receiving information, the Ibrahimpatnam police reached the spot and began an investigation. Officials said the reason behind the suicide was yet to be ascertained.
