Budharam balancing reservoir to have two more culverts
Speaking on the occasion, Niranjan Reddy said the government was making all out efforts to get irrigation facility to more acres to benefit the farming community.
Wanaparthy: The balancing reservoir at Budharam will have two more culverts to supply irrigation water to more acres and the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the culverts was performed by Agriculture minister S Nirajan Reddy here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Niranjan Reddy said the government was making all out efforts to get irrigation facility to more acres to benefit the farming community. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao tanks all over the state have been rejuvenated. The Budharam tank, which is acting as a balancing reservoir, is providing irrigation facility to more than 40,000 acres and the irrigation department was taking steps to costruct canals on either side of the tank and also efforts were on to strengthen the bund.
Earlier the minister spent the night in Budharam village of Gopalpet mandal and spoke to the villagers at length about the developmental activities being planned by the Government.
