On June 3, the player created a record of sorts and entered his name on the International Wonder of Records by playing the oldest musical instrument continuously for seven hours at a stretch.

Mancherial: Prominent Bulbul Sithara, a musical instrument player Chunchu Guruvaiah from this town called on Governor Jishnu Dev Varma in Hyderabad on Monday.
Guruvaiah said that he paid a visit to the governor after receiving an honorary doctorate from a university recently. He stated that he rendered two songs that enthralled Varma. He claimed that he was invited by the governor for a bhajan programme to be held at Rajbhavan soon.

He received a certificate of recognition of the feat from representatives of the publication. He is a retired coal miner.
