Hyderabad: Burglars broke into a house and decamped with cash and gold jewelry worth several lakhs at Diamond Hills Colony in Shaikpet. Though the details of when the incident occurred are yet to be known, it came to light when the residents approached the police on Monday.
As per available information, the burglars broke lock of the main door and entered the house. They reportedly fled with about 32 Tula gold and Rs 3 lakh in cash.
The residents were out of the city when the incident occurred. When they returned home, they realised the house was burgled and approached the police.
Based on a complaint, the Film Nagar police booked a case and took up an investigation. The crime team visited the spot and collected clues.
The CCTV footage is being examined. The Film Nagar police are investigating.
