Burglars strike in six places in Bellampalli; decamp with 17 tolas gold

Mancherial: In six different incidents, unidentified persons decamped with 17 tolas of gold, 1.5 kilograms of silver and four motorcycles from four houses in Bellampalli late on Friday.

Bellampalli Two Town Inspector Afzaluddin said that in the first incident, the burglars stole gold and 1.5 kilograms of silver by breaking open an iron almirah in BRS leader Shravan’s house at Caltex area in the town at around 3 am.


In the second instance, burglars made away with 3 tolas of gold from the house of Sudhakar, a government teacher when he was asleep in the wee hours in Caltex.

Meanwhile, miscreants lifted four bikes parked in front of four houses in the same area. Police gathered clues by pressing CLUES team and sniffer dogs. Cases were booked. Investigations were taken up.
