Hyderabad: Burma Burma has introduced a limited-edition festive menu to celebrate Thingyan, offering a curated spread of traditional Burmese flavours across its outlets in India from May 1 to 31.
Celebrated as the Burmese New Year and widely known as the Water Festival, Thingyan is marked by community feasting and shared meals. Drawing inspiration from Burmese Lunch Houses, the menu brings together rice bowls, small plates, desserts and seasonal beverages that reflect the spirit of the festival.
At the centre of the offering are signature rice bowls priced at Rs 650, designed for sharing. Options include the aromatic Mohinga Rice Bowl, the tangy Hawker’s Rice Bowl, the smoky Rustic Rice Bowl and the Pickled Roselle Bowl.
Complementing these are street-style small plates priced at Rs 450, such as New Year Parcels, Rice Crepes and Palata Sando, alongside fritter platters and seasonal salads.
Desserts, also priced at Rs 450, feature interpretations of Burmese classics like Banana Bliss and Mango Bein Mont, while a signature Paan Jelly is served as a complimentary finale. The beverage menu, priced at Rs 350, includes refreshing summer coolers such as Pandan Tamarind Fizz, Hibiscus Lemonade, Mango Picante and Ice Plum Soda.
With an average meal cost of Rs 1,800 for two, the festive menu is available for dine-in and delivery via Zomato and Swiggy. Enhancing the experience are in-restaurant elements such as fruit leather stalls and popsicle stations, recreating the lively ambience of Burmese street markets.
