Businessman dies after being hit by bus in Afzalgunj

Hyderabad: A businessman who was waiting on his bike at a traffic signal at Afzalgunj died after being hit by a bus on Saturday night.

Jaswanth Singh, (24), a resident of Afzalgunj and native of Rajasthan, had stopped at the Salar Jung Bridge traffic junction after the traffic signal turned red.


“Jaswanth, stopped his vehicle behind the bus and was waiting for the signal to turn green. In the meantime, a bus came from behind and knocked him down. He was shifted to Osmania Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment,” said Afzalgunj police.

A case of negligence was registered against the driver of the bus and vehicle seized. The police are investigating.
