Hyderabad: A cab driver who allegedly attempted to kill two policemen by ramming his car into their bike at Bowenpally was arrested by the police on Tuesday.

The arrested Nochina Sampath Kumar (25), a resident of Moula Ali and a native of Andhra Pradesh, had parked his car at a secluded place at Dairy Farm, Bowenpally, on Saturday night.

Upon noticing the car parked at the isolated spot, two bike-borne policemen went to the spot to inquire. “On spotting the policemen, Sampath started his car and rammed into the police bike, leading to serious injuries to two policemen. We learnt later that he was indulging in immoral behaviour with a woman in the car and on spotting police, rammed into them and escaped,” said S Rashmi Perumal, DCP (North).

He was remanded.
