Cabinet meeting on Tuesday to take decision on lockdown in Telangana

There is a difference of opinion on impact the lockdown with certain sections of the society seeking a lockdown in the State

Hyderabad: The Cabinet meeting will held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Pragati Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. In the wake of surge in Covid-19 cases in the State, the Cabinet is scheduled to discuss the issue of imposing lockdown in the State and take a decision.

Despite the imposing lockdowns in several states, there are reports that it was not yielding the desired results and the Covid-19 cases continue to increase. There is a difference of opinion on impact the lockdown with certain sections of the society seeking a lockdown in the State. Under these circumstances, the Cabinet will discuss and decide on the impact of the lockdown on the ongoing paddy procurement process in the state, along with the pros and cons of imposing the lockdown.
