Hyderabad: A Canadian citizen has lodged a complaint with Punjagutta police, alleging that his wife and her family members took his passport, Canadian citizenship and birth documents without his knowledge and forcibly subjected him to an impotence test.

According to the complainant, who is a resident of Dommarapochampally, the documents were taken on September 7.

Two days later, the complainant was allegedly threatened and taken to a hospital in Somajiguda, where he was made to undergo the medical examination against his will.

Police said the man further alleged that after the examination, his wife and her family members falsely claimed that he was impotent and demanded Rs 2 crore from him.

He sought legal action against those who allegedly threatened and pressured him.

Based on the complaint, the Punjagutta police have registered a case with the permission of a local court and are investigating the facts in the allegations.
