Cancel of wedding post engagement drives man to suicide in Medak
A 24-year-old man in Medak died by suicide after his engagement was reportedly cancelled by the bride’s family for unknown reasons. He consumed pesticide and died during treatment. Police registered a case and are investigating the incident
Medak: A young man, Dasari Vijay (24), died by suicide after his marriage was reportedly cancelled after engagement at Yedullapally in Veldurthi mandal. Vijay was engaged to a woman from his relative’s family.
However, the bride’s family decided to cancel the engagement due to unknown reasons. Depressed over the same, Vijay attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at his agricultural field on Thursday.
He died while undergoing treatment in a hospital on Friday. A case was registered.
