Hyderabad: Canon India unveiled its most immersive showcase to date at the Broadcast India Show 2025 — South Asia’s premier platform for media, broadcast, and content creation technologies held at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, from October 14 to 16.

Taking center stage was the much-anticipated India debut of the EOS C50, Canon’s latest compact digital cinema camera designed to redefine professional video production.

With an experiential booth inspired by high-end production sets, Canon presented a comprehensive ecosystem of imaging solutions spanning cinema, virtual production, and live broadcasting. The setup offered visitors an immersive, real-time production experience that underscored Canon’s leadership in imaging innovation and its commitment to empowering India’s broadcast, OTT, and creator communities with future-ready tools for visual storytelling.

Immersive Experience Zones

Canon’s booth featured three interactive zones replicating real-world production environments:

Cinema EOS & DILC Zone: A complete film set showcasing Canon’s Cinema EOS and R System lineup for cinematic storytelling.

Virtual Production Zone: Live demonstrations of workflows using Canon’s PTZ and C400 cameras along with Cine Servo lenses.

R50V Zone: A space dedicated to digital-first creators, highlighting the EOS R50V’s compact design and versatility for amateur filmmakers.

Product Showcase: A Three-Layered Creative Ecosystem

Canon’s lineup spanned the full spectrum of content creation, catering to every level of visual storyteller:

For content creators: EOS R50V, for high-quality vlogging and everyday content creation.

For hybrid filmmakers: EOS R5 Mark II, bridging professional-grade photography and video performance.

For filmmakers and OTT professionals: EOS C400, C80, and the newly launched EOS C50, optimized for dynamic production workflows.

“At Canon India, we take pride in driving the future of imaging innovation and empowering storytellers across OTT, broadcast, and cinema. The Broadcast India Show 2025 marks a milestone in our video-first journey, with the India debut of the EOS C50 and a full ecosystem built to meet the evolving needs of modern production,”
Toshiaki Nomura, President & CEO, Canon India.

The booth was inaugurated by renowned cinematographers and Canon Cinema EOS Ambassadors Kiran Deohans, ISC, and Sudeep Chatterjee, ISC — celebrated for iconic works like Jodhaa Akbar, Padmaavat, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. Their presence highlighted Canon’s strong ties with India’s creative community.

Collaborative Technology Setups

Canon also showcased integrated setups in collaboration with partners such as Aputure, EIZO, Sennheiser, SanDisk, Atomos, Mo-Sys, and PROTECH, bringing to life Cinematic News Studios, Virtual Production systems, and AR/VR applications. These demonstrations were powered by Canon’s Studio Solutions – Canon North Star, tailored for education, corporate, sports, and media use cases.
