Hyderabad: Panic spread in the surroundings when a car caught fire at a petrol pump in Mailardevpally on Thursday evening. No casualties were reported. According to the police, fire suddenly erupted from the vehicle, which was returning after refueling at the petrol pump located on the busy road. The alert vehicle driver, Sudarshan, who noticed the flames, immediately drove out of the petrol pump and stopped the car on the road. According to available information, the petrol pump staff immediately controlled the fire using fire extinguishing equipment. The reason for the fire remains unknown.
Fire in coffee shop, none hurt
A fire broke out in the kitchen of Café Coffee Day located in a multi-storey complex at SR Nagar on Thursday. None were hurt in the incident. Only a few customers were present at the time of the mishap. The cause of the fire is being ascertained. The staff noticed fire and smoke emanating and alerted the fire department and police, who rushed to the spot and doused it immediately. The SR Nagar police are investigating.
