Car driver dies one month after attack by friends in Hyderabad

A 25-year-old car driver from Santoshnagar, Hyderabad, who was attacked by his friends following a petty quarrel on July 10, died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment. Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident

Hyderabad: A car driver who was attacked by his friends during a quarrel over a petty issue nearly a month ago died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday.

According to the police, Thakur Gowtham Singh (25), a resident of Santoshnagar, had gone out along with his friends Veera Ramu, Sajid and others on July 10. An argument ensued between them, following which the group attacked Gowtham with hands and sticks.


“Gowtham suffered injuries and was rushed to a local private hospital. He was later shifted to other hospitals for better treatment. He died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday,” said Santoshnagar police.
