Karimnagar: A car rammed into a roadside shop and hit a bike in Keshavapatnam of Shankarapatnam mandal on the Karimnagar–Warangal main road on Monday night.

The incident occurred when a software engineer from Indiranagar in Huzurabad town, Odela Mahender, was returning from Nirmal after making arrangements for his marriage. He reportedly lost control of the steering, causing the car to hit an electric pole and then crash into a nearby shop.

A two-wheeler and an iron staircase in front of the shop were also damaged in the impact. Shop owner Bhupathi Prasad suffered significant property loss, though Mahender escaped unhurt.

On learning of the accident, police reached the spot and shifted the vehicle to the police station.
