Hyderabad: The Mangalhat police booked a case against BJP MLA T Raja Singh for allegedly using DJ system and also for provocative speeches made during the Sri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra procession taken out on April 6, in the city.
The police said the Goshmahal legislator, defying police orders, had used high-volume sound systems during the annual procession. Further, he had also made certain provocative remarks during the rally, which were offensive to a particular community.
The Hyderabad Police had earlier instructed the Ram Navami organizers to avoid using high-decibel sound equipment, including DJs, sound mixers, mobile microphones, and loudspeakers, during the procession.
The Sri Ram Navami procession organisers had set up a huge DJ system and taken out the procession from the Akashpuri Hanuman Temple to Hanuman Vyamshala.
