Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have booked a case against Mythri Movie Makers for flouting police permission rules and allowing more persons for the pre-release event of Tollywood movie ‘Pushpa’ starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna held at the Special Police First Battalion grounds at Yousufguda on Sunday.
“Permission for a gathering of only 5,000 people was given whereas the organisers allowed around 15,000 persons for the event. It resulted in chaos and traffic jam on the stretch. All those who gathered were holding passes and the management misled the police about the event and guests resulting in a stampede like situation,” Jubilee Hills Inspector S Rajasekhar Reddy said.
The police invoked Sections 143, 341, 336 and 290 of Indian Penal Code against them. The police have also collected video footage from surveillance cameras in the vicinity of the place.
