Hyderabad: Two YouTubers were booked for allegedly spreading rumours about a bakery at Pedda Amberpet in Hayathnagar on Wednesday.

The suspects identified as Veeresh and Narasimha, had targeted Anwar, a worker in the bakery and posted videos against him.


Moreover, they also allegedly posted derogatory videos against the management of the bakery on their channels and their acts were targeted to a particular community and hurt sentiments.

Based on a complaint, the Hayathnagar police booked a case for causing discord between two religions and spreading false propaganda against an eatery.

Police officials said investigation has found that YouTubers claiming to be journalists asked the bakery staff to give cake and other items for free. When they refused, the suspects went on to post fake news about the bakery.
