Case filed against Congress workers for threatening BRS cadre in Jubilee Hills
Borabanda police registered a case against Congress workers, including Venkat Yadav, brother of Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, for threatening BRS cadres campaigning for Maganti Sunitha in Jubilee Hills. The complaint alleges intimidation and obstruction during canvassing at Vikas Puri Colony
Hyderabad: The Borabanda police registered a case against Congress party workers, including Venkat Yadav, brother of Jubilee Hills Congress candidate V Naveen Yadav, for allegedly threatening and preventing BRS party candidates from canvassing for the Jubilee Hills by-election.
According to the complaint made by a BRS party worker, Y Tarun Yadav, on October 30, when a group of BRS party workers were campaigning at Vikas Puri Colony, at Vengalraonagar, the Congress workers led by Venkat Yadav, waylaid and threatened them with dire consequences. The motive of the criminal action of Venkat Yadav is to prevent the BRS cadre from canvassing for the BRS party candidate Maganti Sunitha.
Tarun Yadav further alleged that on two instances, Naveen Yadav had threatened to wipe out all the BRS workers. The police invoked Sections 352, 351(2), 351(3) r/w 3(5) of BNS against them.
