Cash, gold worth lakhs stolen from scooter in Hyderabad’s Old City
Unidentified persons stole gold ornaments and Rs 60,000 in cash from a scooter parked in Moghalpura, Hyderabad. The owner had gone to attend prayers. Police have registered a case and are analysing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.

Hyderabad: Unidentified persons took away cash and gold ornaments kept in a scooter at Moghalpura in the Old City on Wednesday afternoon.
A man, Mohammed Siraj, had parked his scooter and went to attend prayers at a mosque located in Moghalpura around 1.30 pm. Afterwards, when he came outside the mosque and checked the scooter dickey, Siraj found a bag containing seven tolas of gold ornaments, Rs 60,000 cash and other articles missing, said Mirchowk Inspector, N Saidiah.
On information, the police reached the spot and, after preliminary enquiries, started an investigation. The police are checking the footage of the surveillance cameras installed in the surroundings of the mosque. A case is registered.
