Hyderabad: Supervek and CCOB Basketball Club scored contrasting wins in the Annual League Championship, conducted by the Hyderabad District Basketball Association.  CCOB rolled past Amruth Basketball Academy 83-53 while Supervek, who led by nine points at the end of the third quarter, squeezed through by a solitary point with a 65-64 win over a fighting Hyderabad YMCA.

Supervek led by Peter and Shiva held the upper hand in the first half and crossing over with a 6 point lead at 33-27 increased the lead marginally to 9 at the end of the 3rd before a late resurgence by Hyderabad YMCA led by Sumith, Gaurav and Bala was just not sufficient to turn the tide even though the last attempt with just a couple of second for regulation time by the YMCA side struck the rim and bounced back to seal their fate.

After a closely fought first half with both teams tied at 35, CCOB led by Moin and Phani rocked the rival citadel and their relentless attacks bore fruit as they steamrolled Amruth Academy even though Piyush and Pranay resisted to some extent.
