CCTV cameras network inaugurated in Medchal

As part of the project, 67 community closed circuit cameras were installed in 11 colonies of Boduppal municipality at a cost of Rs 15 lakh

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat on Tuesday inaugurated a community closed circuit cameras network at Chengicherla on the city outskirts.

As part of the project, 67 community closed circuit cameras were installed in 11 colonies of Boduppal municipality at a cost of Rs 15 lakh. So far, 498 cameras were set up as part of the community CCTV project and 5,518 installed under the Nenu Saitam project while 5,518 in Medipally police station limits.

“In modern day policing, a major part of the crime is solved with the help of the surveillance camera footage,” he said while appealing to the people to take the initiative and install more closed circuit cameras installed in their area.
