Suryapet: Superintendent of Police R Bhaskaran on Monday said that the CCTV Cameras would literally work as a protection shield to the village and help in checking the crimes. Launching the CCTV cameras set up at different villages from district police headquarters, Bhaskaran said that one CCTV camera was equal to 100 eagle eyes. The CCTV camera footages have helped in cracking several cases and also serve as scientific evidence to get the criminals punished by the courts.
He has also appreciated the people who extended financial help for setting up of CCTVs in the villages. He said people would play a crucial role in controlling crimes particularly in rural areas. He also exhorted the youth to take part in the development works, which have been taken up by the district authorities in their villages. With the financial help of some persons, 15 CCTV cameras were set up at Penchikaldinne village, 17 at Dishincherla and 15 at Komati Kuntla.
