Hyderabad: Self-enumeration for Census 2027 commenced on Sunday in the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) comprising Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC), Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), and Secunderabad Cantonment Board.

The census portal https://se.census.gov.in opened for self-enumeration and the window will remain open until 12 midnight.

To start self-enumeration, the heads of households can log in to the official portal or scan the QR code and proceed to fill out the columns. Importantly, enter the head of household’s name correctly, and once registered, it cannot be changed later. The household should use a single mobile number for self-enumeration.

Officials advised the households to keep the required documents ready to enter data without any mistakes. These documents include Aadhaar Card and Pan Card as identity proof, a mobile number for OTP, address proof accepted by Census 2027, family member information such as EPDS Card or Ration Card, and education and occupation details.

Head of households do not need to upload any documents, such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID, and Indian Passport, or even photos. Keep the mobile phone handy for OTP verification, and the exact location should be carefully marked on the map.

Saving it as draft will allow the household for later submission, while preview will allow the household to review the filled-in data and edit it if any modifications are required. Final submit will allow the household to submit, once the entered information is confirmed as correct. Once submitted, the information cannot be edited.

After the final submission, the respondents receive an 11-digit SE ID prefixed with H (example: H-12345678990) through the registered mobile number and email. During an enumerator visit, the household should submit the SE ID for final submission.

The household had to submit the SE ID for final submission when the enumerator visits. Officials said one need not panic while filling self-enumeration entries and if any field is left blank, the enumerator will fill it during the verification visit.
