Central Bank of India marks Foundation Week with community outreach

Central Bank of India marked its 115th Foundation Week with community outreach activities in Hyderabad. The bank donated appliances to an old age home and organised a quiz programme for school students, highlighting its focus on social responsibility and education.

Hyderabad: Central Bank of India (CBI) marked its 115th Foundation Week with a series of community-oriented programmes under the theme “Seva Hi Sankalp.” As part of its social responsibility outreach, the Hyderabad Zonal and Regional Offices donated a refrigerator and a water dispenser to the old age home Help for Good, aiming to improve facilities for the residents.

Senior officials, including Zonal Head Dharasing Naik and Deputy Zonal Head M V S Prasad, also distributed fruits to the elderly, underscoring the bank’s commitment to extending support beyond banking services. In another initiative held during the Foundation Week, the bank organised a prize distribution programme for students who participated in the quiz competition titled “Cent Intellica.”


The event, hosted at Prince Ton High School, recognised students for their participation and strong performance. The competition aimed at encouraging curiosity, awareness and intellectual development among young learners. Addressing the students, Dharasing Naik emphasised the importance of education in building a responsible future and urged them to pursue learning with dedication and discipline.

The programme was attended by Deputy Zonal Head M V S Prasad, Regional Head D K Baranwal, senior officials, staff, faculty members and students.
