Central government employee among three held with cocaine in Hyderabad
Future City police arrested three persons, including a Central government employee and a Railways superintendent, after seizing 40 grams of cocaine in Mokila. Investigators suspect an interstate drug supply network involving Bengaluru and Goa.
Hyderabad: The Future City police arrested three people, including a Central government employee, following the seizure of 40 grams of cocaine in Mokila on Sunday.
According to officials, the prime suspect, a superintendent with the Indian Railways, was allegedly involved in large-scale drug trafficking. He was reportedly caught red-handed while attempting to sell the contraband.
Police investigations revealed that the suspect has been allegedly smuggling drugs into Hyderabad from Bengaluru and Goa by car before distributing them locally. Police also arrested a software engineer from a reputed IT firm and a local businessman in connection with the case.
Officials seized two cars from the suspects during the operation.
Further investigation is underway to trace the wider network and possible links in the interstate drug supply chain.
