Hyderabad: Sangareddy MLA and senior Congress leader Jagga Reddy slammed the Central Government for its failure to offering Remdesivir, oxygen and assistance to the State and as a result many lives are being lost.

Lambasting the State BJP unit, Jagga Reddy said the State unit president Bandi Sanjay makes tall claims of Central assistance to Telangana but wondered as to why the assistance was not being extended when it required the most.

“The entire BJP top brass, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah descended in Hyderabad for elections but when the situation in the State was bad due to Corona not one leader turned up,” said Jagga Reddy while addressing the press at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday.
Charging at Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy, the senior Congress leader said the Central Government had failed in production of sufficient oxygen and distributing the same to different states.

Kishan Reddy should take some initiative in ensuring sufficient allocation of oxygen and Remdesivir to Telangana, he said.

“Telangana Government did a wise thing by imposing lockdown and there’s nothing wrong in extending it for 15 more days. Life is important than anything else,” said Jagga Reddy wanting the State Government to arrange for sufficient medicines for treatment of black fungus, which is still in the initial stage in the State.

He also said the Congress party would field a candidate against former Health Minister Etela Rajender, if he contested elections. There should not be any doubts on this issue, he said.
