Hyderabad: Slamming TRS leaders for unnecessarily criticising the Union government, BJP national vice-president DK Aruna on Tuesday claimed that the Centre was sanctioning sufficient funds to Telangana without any bias. Addressing a press conference here, she said the Centre was providing Covid-19 vaccines free of cost to people, but the State government was claiming credit.

She advised the State ruling party to recognise the mandate given by the people during the Assembly elections in 2018 and work with commitment. Demanding that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao implement Dalit Bandhu scheme across the State, she said the BJP would leave no stone unturned to ensure that the scheme is implemented. Aruna requested the Chief Minister to visit paddy procurement centres to learn about problems being faced by farmers due to unseasonal rains. She wanted the State government to initiate measures to cut down 10 per cent wastage of paddy at the procurement centres.

Referring to the visit of TRS delegation led by the Chief Minister to New Delhi, she sought to know why the former went to Delhi when the Centre was extending necessary help to all States.

Schemes introduced by the State government were confined to papers as eligible beneficiaries were not getting any help, she alleged.
