Adilabad: The Union Ministry of Panchayat Raj lauded Mukhra (K), a model village in Ichoda mandal for making sustained efforts to improve green cover. In its official Twitter handle, the Ministry especially shared a video of Palle Prakriti Vanam on Sunday.
“Plantation for people, productivity, profitability and prosperity,” the Ministry remarked while sharing the video clip on the micro-blogging site.
On Saturday, AK Tiwari, information officer of the Union Panchayat Raj Ministry visited the village and inspected Palle Prakriti Vanam, vermin-compost fertilizer making, shifting of waste by tractor and many other initiatives taken up by the village. He was all praise for the gram panchayat for setting an example to other rural civic bodies by implementing various programmes.
