“There is no dearth of funds with the Central government for development,” he said at a press conference after participating in ‘Praja Sangrama’ yatra of State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar in Rajanna Sircilla district.
Patil said Sanjay Kumar launched the yatra to get to know the problems of people in village, mandal, constituency and district levels since no other party had made an effort to know the problems of the people. Sanjay was getting tremendous response from all sections of people during the yatra, he said.
Patil said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party national president JP Nadda deputed him to visit Telangana and explain the achievements and development works funded by the Central government in the State.
The world appreciated the foresight of the Prime Minister who has taken timely measures to fight against Covid-19 which has crippled the economy of the world, he said, adding that the Central government was providing free ration to 80 crore people, who lost their jobs due to the pandemic, till Deepavali.
To a question, Patil said he was holding a meeting with the railway officials to review the progress of pending railway projects.
