Hyderabad: Amid the ongoing row over the Centre denying permission for Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s US tour, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka suspected the decision was politically motivated.
“I see no reason for the Central government to deny permission. This appears to be political, and it is not right. Telangana is also a part of this country. If Telangana grows, India grows,” Bhatti Vikramarka said.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, the Deputy Chief Minister said it was unfortunate that the Central government had denied permission, or political clearance, for the Chief Minister’s visit to the United States. The Chief Minister was scheduled to travel with a delegation to attract prestigious educational institutions to Telangana.
Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress government had been according priority to the education sector. “The Chief Minister is trying his best, but the Central Government has denied him permission,” he added in a video that is circulating on social media.
