Hyderabad: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sudarshan Reddy appreciated the efforts of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and election officials for completing nearly 1.73 crore Enumeration Forms (EFs) within just four days. The CEO emphasised that BLOs must strictly adhere to the prescribed rules and responsibilities and warned that any violations would invite stringent action as per law.

Political parties and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) were urged to actively participate in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 and discharge their responsibilities effectively. BLOs were directed to guide electors in correctly filling the Enumeration Forms and ensure 100 per cent voter outreach.

Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) were directed to undertake extensive field visits, suggest measures for strengthening the work of BLOs, enhance public outreach and intensify voter awareness campaigns, including promoting the Voter Helpline 1950 and Help Desk numbers.

The CEO directed District Election Officers (DEOs) to conduct another round of training for BLOs, focusing on assisting electors in correctly filling the Enumeration Forms and facilitating the digitisation of the forms to achieve the target efficiently, said a press release.
