Hyderabad: Digital entertainment content creator Chai Bisket on Monday launched Chai Shots, a regional short-series OTT platform built specifically for the smartphone.
Chai Shots is offering premium, vertical, scripted entertainment with episodes under two minutes, designed to turn daily micro-moments into storytelling experiences, a statement from Chai Bisket said.
Backed by Info Edge Ventures and General Catalyst, Chai Shots aims to move beyond endless scrolling to structured, high-quality storytelling, the digital content creator said.
On the occasion, Chai Bisket also announced Creator Gateway, a direct-access portal for storytellers to pitch ideas without middlemen. Chai Shots is promising “From Pitch to Live in just 45 Days”, streamlining approval, shooting, and release timelines.
A Rs 20 crore Creator Fund was also launched to collaborate with creators over the next six months, fueling original shows and empowering new writers, directors, and actors.
Chai Shots has raised a 5 million seed round from Info Edge Ventures and General Catalyst.
