Chain snatched from 70-year-old woman in Hyderabad

A 70-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain by unidentified persons at KPHB on Thursday. The suspects, posing as lost strangers, approached her in a car and snatched the chain. Police have formed teams and are reviewing CCTV footage.

Hyderabad: Unidentified persons snatched a gold chain from an elderly woman at KPHB on Thursday.

The woman, aged around 70 years, was walking on the road in the colony when miscreants approached her in a car. On the pretext of seeking help in locating an address, they took the car close to the woman and flicked the gold chain from her neck before escaping.

Based on a complaint, the KPHB police registered a case and are investigating. Special teams have been formed to nab the offenders.

The police are verifying footage from the surveillance cameras installed in the area.
