Chandana & Priyanka emerge champions in the Ash Sports Academy tennis tournament

Chandana Potugari and Priyanka Rodricks won the women’s doubles title, defeating Patil and Nanajkar, while Laxmi Siri Dandu and Joell Nichole advanced to the singles final in a thrilling competition

Hyderabad: Chandana Potugari (Andhra Pradesh) and Priyanka Rodricks (Maharashtra) defeated Siri Manjunath Patil (Karnataka) and Shruti Nanajkar (Maharashtra) in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, to win the women’s doubles title in the Ash Sports Academy AITA-TSTA All India women’s ranking tennis tournament here.

In the women’s singles semifinals,, Laxmi Siri Dandu (Telangana) defeated Manognya Madasa (Andhra Pradesh) who retired in the deciding set with the score at 6-1, 2-6, 4-1 in favour of Laxmi Siri.


In the second semifinal, Joell Nichole (Tamil Nadu) edged past Omna Yadav Davuboina (Telangana) in a closely contested match, winning 6-3, 1-6, 7-6(5).
