Vijayawada: Chandrababu Naidu who cheated late NT Rama Rao in the past, was now cheating NTR’s family, widow of NTR and chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Telugu Academy N Lakshmi Parvati, has alleged.
Addressing a media conference here on Saturday, she said Chandrababu, as usual, had lied to his family. Though nothing happened in the Assembly, he had enacted a drama and created a scene shedding tears, and it was a pity that there was support for Chandrababu who had backstabbed NTR, she remarked.
Expressing surprise how family members of the legendary actor could fall for such cheap tricks, she advised them to open their eyes and not to trust Chandrababu’s words. “Chandrababu never spoke the truth in the NTR episode and even misled Bhuvaneswari and Balakrishna to change their mind. How can he level allegations in the name of his own wife to gain sympathy in a bid to regain CM’s post?” she wondered.
Recalling the Viceroy Hotel episode in Hyderabad where footwear was hurled on late N.T. Rama Rao, Lakshmi Pavati, now YSR Congress Party leader, said that when Balakrishna came there, she had explained to him the Chandrababu’s conspiracy but the film actor did not pay heed to his words. Now, it was time the NTR family opened its eyes on Chandrababu’s new drama, she stated. She also explained that she had
joined the YSRCP only to fight against Chandrababu in her battle that began over 25 years ago.
