Peddapalli: Top priority will be accorded to law and order and crime control, said S Chandrashekhar Reddy who took charge as Ramagundam Police Commissioner at the commissioner’s chamber in Godavarikhani on Monday.
Speaking to the media, he said Peddapalli and Mancheiral districts under Ramagundam commissionerate limits housed industries such as Singareni, NTPC and other power projects. “It is necessary to maintain law and order to ensure that these industries operate without any hindrance,” he said.
Cybercrime has become a big problem everywhere, he said and added that cybercriminals were able to cheat the people easily due to lack of awareness. He emphasized on the need to educate the vulnerable sections and added that it was possible to stop the cybercrooks from drawing money by seizing the bank account if people approached the police immediately.
Talking about road accidents, CP said that road accidents claim more lives than murders. So, special focus would also be paid to control road accidents, he added. He said drunk driving and talking over mobile phones while driving were major cause of concern, he said.
