Hyderabad: The Congress government’s Telangana Gaddar Film Awards event held here on Thursday drew sharp criticism from various sections over poor arrangements and lack of coordination.
Actors from different film industries and eminent personalities from various fields graced the event. However, it was marred by several issues, with some invitees reportedly leaving the venue abruptly due to poor coordination.
“Gaddar Awards 2025 turned into chaos instead of a celebration. Poor planning, entry issues, seating confusion and long delays left many guests frustrated at HITEX,” said one X user.
Tensions flared when actress Rashmika Mandanna’s bouncers reportedly had an argument with producer Dil Raju’s personal assistant, following which organisers asked the assistant to leave. Even senior personalities such as Suresh Babu and Shyam Prasad Reddy were reportedly moved from the front rows to the back, the user added.
“Rajya Sabha MP Vijayendra Prasad was reportedly upset with the mismanagement and walked out of the event. A prestigious event deserved far better execution,” another X user shared.
“The event organisers could not even recognise Vijayendra Prasad. They mistook him for R Narayana Murthy, which hurt him and led to his exit from the programme,” another social media user posted.
“The responsibilities were handed over to an event management company from Mumbai. They did not recognise local celebrities and even asked Vijayendra Prasad if he was Narayana Murthy,” the user added.
