Hyderabad: A case was booked against Telugu producer Bellamkonda Suresh and his son and actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas for allegedly cheating a financier to the tune of Rs.85 lakh at Banjara Hills, here on Friday.
Sources said the complainant, VL Sravan Kumar approached the police alleging the father and son duo had taken nearly Rs.85 lakh as loan for producing films between 2018 and 2019. They had promised to make him a partner in a film they were producing, but that did not take off.
When he asked them to repay the amount, the duo allegedly refused to pay and also threatened him, Sravan reportedly told the police. The Banjara Hills police are investigating.
