Hyderabad: German sportswear manufacturer Adidas has a new brand ambassador – our very own queen of Bollywood Deepika Padukone. “Welcome to the family, Deepika,” the multinational company announced on social media. Deepika, too, shared a message on Instagram: “Being an athlete and playing sport has played a tremendous role in shaping my personality and helping me become the person I am today. It has taught me values that no other life experience could have.”
The ‘Padmaavat’ actor continued, “Today, fitness, both physical and emotional, are an integral part of my lifestyle. I am absolutely honoured and delighted to be partnering with one of the world’s most iconic brands-Adidas!”
However, it was Karlie Kloss’s compliments while welcoming Deepika to the family that caught the attention of netizens. The American supermodel wrote, “Welcome to the fam.” Karlie, who is also a brand ambassador of Adidas, added, “So honored to work alongside such an inspirational, talented, badass woman like yourself @deepikapadukone (sic).” Karlie also dropped a selfie that she clicked with Deepika during a Met Gala event.
Deepika Padukone is one of the most-followed Indian celebs on Instagram with 61.3 million followers. In recent times, the actor collaborated with another international brand, Levi’s. “Like most others, I have also been a fan of Levi’s for as long as I can remember! So when they reached out to me for a collaboration, I was over the moon!” Deepika had shared at the time.
