Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Superintendent of Police DV Srinivas Rao said that the police department would always support families of its staffers who die of a disease by giving special concern for their welfare. He handed over a cheque of financial aid Rs 2.20 lakh on Tuesday to the kin of a head constable from Easgaon police station who died recently here.
Srinivas said that the department would look after kin of the policemen who die in the line of duty due to diseases. He assured that steps would be taken to extend statutory to the kin in the event of death of a staffer. He requested the staffers to become members of a cooperative society. He added that paramount importance would be given to welfare of police personnel.
Reserve Inspector Peddaiah, district cooperative society coordinator Zafaruddin and RI Anjanna were present.
