Chess enthusiasts remember Alexander Alekhine in Hyderabad
A commemorative event was held in Secunderabad to mark the death anniversary of former world chess champion Alexander Alekhine, with speakers highlighting his legacy while young participants, including an eight-year-old, shared insights on the chess legend’s life and achievements.

Hyderabad: It was a unique programme to remember Alekhine at Chess Network Chess Club, Our Sacred Space, Secunderabad.
The speakers K Narsimha Rao garu, Rajkumar garu, Tulasiram garu, Rajagopal garu and Kandi Ravi spoke in depth about Alekhine’s life, success and his genius in chess.
“It was a wonderful evening spent discussing Alekhine. I thank all those who attended the programme, the Chess Network team and Our Sacred Space,” Kandi Ravi said.
On the death anniversary (March 24) of the former World Chess Champion Alexander Alekhine the Great (31-10-1892 to 24-3-1946), the programme was held and an eight-year-old boy, Rigved, spoke on the occasion about Alekhine.
