Hyderabad: The number of people killed in the accident in Chevella early this morning has gone up to three with the police confirming that a mother and child too died when the rashly driven car crashed into other vehicles in a head-on collision at Chevella.
Five others were injured in the accident, which claimed the lives of mother and daughter, Sravanthi and Dhruvika, from Shankarpally and that of the car driver, Mohd Faizal.
Police said the mishap occurred when the car, proceeding from Vikarabad towards Hyderabad, jumped the lane and hit the vehicles coming from the opposite direction.
The Chevella police have registered a case and are investigating.
