Chikkadpally man nabbed for using fake number plate to evade challans
Hyderabad police apprehended Kolimi Yadaiah of Chikkadpally after he altered his scooter’s registration number to evade 49 traffic challans amounting to Rs 20,815.

Hyderabad: A scooter owner who changed the registration number of his vehicle to evade payment of traffic challans was apprehended by the Hyderabad police on Saturday.
According to the police, Kolimi Yadaiah, a resident of Chikkadpally, owns a scooter bearing registration number TS09 GF 1079. The traffic police issued 49 challans against Yadaiah’s vehicle for different traffic violations and the fine amount of Rs. 20,815 was pending payment.
“Yadaiah, in order to evade payment of traffic challans changed the vehicle registration number from TS09 GF 1079 to TS09 GE 1079. He changed a letter in the registration number and was moving around,” said Ande Srinivas Rao, Additional DCP, Task Force.
A case was registered against Yadaiah, at Chikkadpally police station under various Sections of BNS Act and Motor Vehicles Act for cheating the government. The Task Force and the Chikkadpally police traced Yadaiah and took him into custody The vehicle was seized as well.
