Child care facility for Covid patients’ kids set up in Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar
District Collector L Sharman said care centre services will come into operation with immediate effect.
Nagarkurnool: The district administration has set up child care response centres to take care of children whose parents tested positive for Covid. While for girls, the child care centre has been set up at Bal Sadan, Achampet, for boys it has been set up at Gnana Saraswathi Mandir.
District Collector L Sharman said care centre services will come into operation with immediate effect. With increasing Covid cases, there have been instances when both the parents tested positive for Covid and were getting worried about the wellbeing of their children. To help such parents, these child care centres have been set up. Till the parents recover completely from the virus, the children’s care and wellbeing will be handled by officials, he said.
The Collector on Monday flagged off vehicles that shift children from their homes to child care centres.

Meanwhile, similar centres have been set up at Bal Sadan for girls and at GYPSY Children Home, Bhootpur in Mahabubnagar district as well.
District Additional Collector Tejas Nandlal said parents can call on 040- 23733665 or toll-free number 1098 between 9 am and 6 pm.
