Hyderabad: The City Police has decided to close the case it filed against 18 persons who were allegedly involved in child pornography.

The National Crime Records Bureau had sent to the Telangana State Crime Investigation Department (CID) the IP address details of 18 persons who were allegedly browsing child pornography. The agency then forwarded it to the Hyderabad Cybercrime police, who booked a case.

“During investigation it was found that the IP addresses were the same that were forwarded and a case was booked last year. Arrests were already made in the case, so we are closing it,” a Cybercrime official said.
