World Animal Day was observed at Delhi Public School, Nacharam. It is observed annually to celebrate animals.

It raises awareness about animal care and highlights the issues they face. It is celebrated on 4 October, Francis of Assisi feast day, the animals’ patron saint.


Students from various grades observed the occasion and posted photographs along with their pets. The mission of this day is to raise the status of animals to improve welfare standards worldwide.

Building the celebration of this day brings together the animal welfare movement, and mobilises it to become a global force in making the world that we live in a better and safer place for all animals.
