Warangal: Former Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, erstwhile Warangal district, Mandala Parashuramulu asked the school students to utilise the services of the Childline by calling helpline centre 1098 for any help.
The local Joint Action Committee of the Rangashaipet and Abhyudaya Seva Samiti, an NGO, jointly organised an awareness programme on child rights on the occasion of child rights week here at the government school on Thursday.
Mandala Parashuramulu stressed the need to protect child rights.
“Protection of the child rights is an important aspect in our society since today’s children are tomorrow’s citizens. We must protect their rights. If any child faces any kind of atrocities and abuse, corporal punishment, children can inform to the child helpline centre 1098 or local police immediately,” he said.
